Sydney

Sydney is a city that needs no introduction.

Sydney is remarkable picture-perfect city that offers endless entertainment, activities and experiences. It is Australia’s more populated city which means it is always bustling and full of life. It is situated on one of the world’s most beautiful natural harbours and is home to the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. You could zip around the city or to one of the stunning nearby beaches such as Bondi, Manly, Mosmon and Balmain all by ferry. Studded with amazing cafes and restaurants, it’s a buzzing hive of creativity and style, one of the many advantages to living in Sydney!

Just outside of the city are many scenically rich locations. Take a scenic drive to the spectacular blue mountains, exploring the unique 3 sister rock formation on the way or take a wine tour through the jaw dropping hunter valley. Sydney offers endless opportunities and proves to be one of the most liveable cities in Australia with its rich culture diversity and idyllic weather all year round.

Trade & Vocational Courses

Why study a trade?

Studying the right trade or vocational course can greatly increase your chances of receiving Work Visas to Australia.

But migration can be very difficult to understand. There are so many different types of visas and so much information out there, which can make it super challenging to know what is accurate for your circumstance.

Therefore we’ve created a booklet for you that explains a pathway that has been tried and tested. Study & Stay has had many of its students successfully go down this path to achieve Permanent Residency.

This pathway is not for everyone, however it may be for you!

Study a course or package of courses that go for at least 2 years and includes the Certificate III in a relevant trade coruse

By studying for 2 years and undertaking a 360 hours vocational placement during your studies (most education providers will arrange this for you), you may be eligible to apply for and receive the Temporary Graduate Visa. The graduate visa is a work visa that allows the visa holder to live and work in Australia for up to 18 months.

The main benefit of the JRP is that on completion you will be provided with a positive skills assessment for general migration purposes. On this program, you must work for at least 12 months as a qualified Boat Builder.

Your employer will not need to sponsor your visa, as you will already be on the graduate visa. This will mean that you have a much higher chance of finding employment as it is very easy for the employer to hire you.

Once you have completed the Job Ready Program as a Boat Builder you will receive a positive skills assessment. Once you have the positive skills assessment you may be able to apply for general skilled migration visas. If eligible, the general skilled migration visas (Skilled Independent Subclass 189, State Nominated Subclass 190 or Regional Nominated Subclass 491) do not require you to have an employer that is willing to sponsor your visa. Please note that you will still be required to pass the points test and health checks to apply for this visa.
